Record Player

An experiment in designing a low-cost record player that is mostly 3D printed

Still trying to figure out the motor, right now it is using a pancake stepper motor controlled by an Arduino, but it gets hot and runs loud, even with the TMC 2226 driver.

It has a carbon fiber tone arm, and an adjustable counterweight using AAA batteries. Due to the size limitation of my printer, the platter is split up into 4 pieces, attached together with screws. The frame is constructed with Makerbeam 1515 extrusions. Bearings are used extensively to ensure smooth operation.
