A high-speed 3D Printer that uses a rotating platform and pivoting head to reduce print time.
Working Principles
Originating from the idea of hard drives, the 3D printer operates by using the read head to read the data from a spinning platter. By allowing motion of the read head in the z-axis, it can reach any point in 3D space. Next, substituting the read head with an extruder, allows for the extension of the read head arm to the center of the rotating platform, creating a 3D printer.
Expected Performance
Since the extruder head has lower weight, there will be an improvement in speed without performance degradation.
